EARTH DAY 2010
Join us April 22, 2010, to celebrate Ferguson’s first official Earth Day Celebration! NOW is the time to learn about the steps you can take to green your life and ensure that future generations have clean air to breath, clean water to drink, and a beautiful environment to enjoy. Ferguson’s Earth Day celebration will inspire appreciation for the natural environment and raise awareness about the importance of conservation.
Ferguson’s Earth Day celebration will include activities throughout the day including a parade that will circle January Wabash Park, a R.E.C.Y.C.L.E. group song competition for prizes, a bike-powered blender and other interesting demonstrations, eco-friendly products, and much more. The day will also involve a service activity for those who wish to lend a hand to keep the planet and our community litter-free. Groups will be assigned to different areas of the park to remove all trash and debris found along the way. Think globally, act locally! Supervisor: Cathy Wallace
