Instructors/Location

Our instructors feel strongly that training your dog will strengthen the bond between you, and help make your dog an upstanding animal in the community.

Audrey Edwards has been teaching dog obedience for twenty five years and has been with Ferguson since 1990. Audrey is a member of the North County Obedience Training Club and the Owner Handler’s Club. She is also the President of the Mixed Breed Dogs Club.

Kathy Schreck has taught five plus years of dog obedience classes and has assisted Audrey Edwards for over two years. She has won eight titles by showing her mixed breed dogs.

All classes are held at the remodeled JW Annex, which is located in the January Wabash Memorial Park behind the Bandshell and next to the playground.

The CGC test and TDI evaluation will be given during the class to those that want to try for certification. The instructor will have a qualified evaluator come in (there is a small additional cost to have the evaluator come for the test and certification as he/she does not work for Ferguson. It will cover paperwork involved and transportation cost) for the testing. CGC during week 3 or 4 and TDI at graduation. Even if you don't plan to do therapy visits the training will help you have more control over your dogs  behavior and socialization to things around him or her. Instructor: Audrey Edwards.
