The City of Ferguson's transportation service is for Ferguson senior citizens 60 years of age and older and persons with a disability. The service features a 25-foot mini-bus acquired in March 1995 with the help of a Federal grant. The vehicle named "Ferguson Jolley Trolley II" is able to accommodate 20 passengers and a wheelchair. The free service has been in operation since 1989 under the guidelines established and overseen by the Ferguson Senior Citizen Commission. The service operates on Mondays through Fridays picking up residents at their homes for visits to local shopping establishments, medical appointments and other scheduled field trips. The schedule and guidelines were established to best meet the needs of participants and residents who have suggestions about the service are encouraged to call the Recreation Department at (314)521-4661.
